MakeMe.Rich is a free hobby application that lets you check Powerball lottery tickets by uploading or texting photos of them. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

  • Phone number — used to sign you in via SMS verification codes and to identify tickets you text to us.
  • Email address (optional) — if you add one to your profile or email tickets to us.
  • Ticket images — photos of lottery tickets you upload, text, or email, along with the numbers extracted from them.
  • Messages — SMS/MMS messages you send to our phone number.

How We Use Your Information

  • To sign you in and secure your account.
  • To read the numbers on your tickets and check them against drawing results.
  • To send you SMS messages related to the service, such as verification codes and replies to tickets you text us.

We do not sell your personal information, show ads, or share your information with anyone except the service providers below.

SMS/Text Messaging

  • We send verification codes, replies about tickets you text us, and — only if you enable them in your profile — recurring drawing-result and jackpot alert messages.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Message frequency varies based on your use of the service (for example, one message per verification request, one reply per ticket you text us, and up to 6 alert messages per week if you enable notifications).
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to opt out of text messages, or HELP for help.

Service Providers

We rely on a few third-party services to run the app:

  • Twilio — sends and receives SMS/MMS messages.
  • Amazon Web Services (Textract) — reads the numbers from your ticket images.
  • SendGrid — sends and receives email.
  • Honeybadger — error monitoring, which may capture technical details when something breaks.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your account data and ticket history so you can review past tickets. If you would like your account and data deleted, contact us and we will remove it.

Children

This service is intended for adults of legal lottery-playing age and is not directed at children under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
